Honorably Mentioned at Tannery Row Exhibition!

Updated: Mar 14, 2019

Saturday night marked a new experience for me - my first juried exhibition opening night! This event featured over 70 works of local and regional artists, and was juried by Erin McIntosh, who holds an MFA in painting, and is represented by Gregg Irby Gallery in Atlanta. I was honored to have two of my works accepted, and had no expectation of receiving a ribbon. I was just thrilled to be a part of Tannery Row's unique environment, and was truly looking forward to viewing the other creative works, while enjoying the jolly crowd, resident studio artists, live music and wonderful hors d’ oeuvres. All works are for sale, and the show runs through May 3.

I am grateful for friends who encouraged me to enter, and friends who showed up to cheer me on. I wish I had taken more pictures of my encouragers. I met a bevy of lovely people, and I appreciate all the Tannery Row folks who made the evening so special. Be sure to stop by, and if you're not a Buford native, I highly recommend a visit before or after at West Main Trade, a charming coffee shop and antiques/consignment store in a renovated vintage theater just a short walk away. https://www.facebook.com/westmaintrade/
