About the Artist

Photo by Mary Buck, of Lightscapes Portrait Studio
An Atlanta-area resident for over four decades, Brenda Ehly studied fine art and commercial design in high school and college, but graduated as a music education major. She taught instrumental music for twenty years before retiring to teach and work at home.
When visiting art museums, Brenda feels most drawn (so to speak) to portraits of people. Predictably, many of the subjects are of "important" people. Literary pioneers, city fathers, industrialists, philanthropists, innovators, and creators of renown. It occurs to her that ideally, everyone is important to someone else. She would love to help you showcase and honor those who are important to you.
“I truly love collaborating with others to design one-of-a-kind drawings and paintings of memories they love. In an age where communication and shopping can happen more quickly and easily than ever before, it is a joy to present a gift that will be treasured over time because it took time to create.”
